Our Family Trip to Hong Kong

Eric needed to buy some items he had to have for Kade's baptism, so we decided we would have the boys miss school and go with us. They were super excited about that!! We left our place around 8. We arrived a little early at the ferry terminal so we hung out for a little bit before we needed to ling up. This was the boys' first time on a ferry during the day. Eric was awesome and bought us tickets on the top deck. They sat the boys at seats with a table, which was good because they were able to eat all of their treats at the table.

Whenever we go somewhere now we walk to the Venetian to grab a taxi, plus I think Eric forgot something he needed so it all worked out.

Cam looks scared of something in this picture.

Connor waiting.

Cam attempting to run around the ferry terminal.

Kyle thinks it is awesome he can blow bubbles with his mouth.

Cam is at the age where he has no volume control. I am pretty sure everyone knew we were there.

Excited to be on the ferry and being able to sit at a table. Nobody else gets to sit at a table.

Leaving Macau

One of the bridges we are constantly crossing.

When I went to Hong Kong with the branch I did not go out of the MTR to see all of the buildings. Since Eric knew where he was going (most of the time) we walked around and was able to see some of the Hong Kong skyline.

A big ferris wheel

My favorite purse store. I really liked the pink one.

On the MTR for the first time. Heading toward the temple. The MTR wasn't too crowded on our way there.

Kyle didn't really want his picture taken.

Hi Cam Cam

Once we arrived at the temple we had the boys play at the park that is right next door. Eric went to the distribution center to buy what he needed. After he came back I went in to buy what I needed. We also ended up seeing our good friends the Dyer's. The church building has some rooms where people can stay while they are serving in the temple. Adam and Julie were telling us there was a family there who sold almost everything they had to get to the temple. They were there for a week taking out their own endowments, doing their own sealings and then being proxies for all of the family names they brought. What an inspiring and humble story to hear!! When we were leaving the temple we ran into Sister Hawks. Her husband, President Hawks, is the Hong Kong Mission President. She was telling us there are several families that come to the temple that are just like the family that was there. She also taught Kade the first line of "I am a Child of God" in Cantonese. It was a really time being by the temple even though we didn't get to do a session.

In the courtyard of the temple.

On the outside of the temple.

These are taken by a mall we went to. We ran into some sister missionaries. They asked us where we were from. We were excited to tell them we live in Macau, not too far away.

Cam was pretty exhausted from all the running around that he fell asleep in his stroller.

We found a yummy place to eat at. I have noticed there are so many yummy restaurants in Hong Kong. The ones regular restaurants here in Macau are not that great.

On our way home. Cam looks excited to be heading home. :) We were not seated at the table seats this time, so Cam and I sat next to each other (Connor and daddy, Kade and Kyle).

We look forward to our next trip to Hong Kong. We are hoping it isn't such a quick trip though, One day is much too short. Even a weekend would be good. Next time....
