Kyle's 6th Birthday

Kyle has turned 6. He had a fun birthday. I always feel bad for him having a birthday so close to Christmas, but he loves it. Kyle and Kade will argue (playfully) over whose birthday is better. Kade's because it is on Halloween or Kyle's because it is close to Christmas. I have heard it said that our kids help us to learn things we never would have without them. Kyle teaches me to be patient when he throwing a fit because he can't find something (but I manage to find it right when I look). He also teaches me the need to be more creative when teaching something. He is a very hands on and visual learner. At parent teacher conferences his teacher, Ms. Lok said he is not interested in something until he has come up with a plan of how to do it. However, once he has a plan it is really hard to distract him. She also said that Kyle is friends with everybody in class. There is not one student in his class that he does not get along with. She can put him in any group and he will be ok. When we are walking out of school he is the one that always has friends saying, "Good bye Kyle" or "Hello Kyle". He really looks up to Kade. I have noticed him starting to make more correct decisions. In church he is more capable of sitting without being a distraction. He has a great imagination. He shows his imagination in the pictures he draws and the things he says while playing.

For his birthday, we were able to have our friends, the Dyers over. Kyle was really excited to have Raylee and Baylor over. I watched these two earlier during the day. They helped me wrap his presents and make his cake. I am sure they were excited to see him open them, have pizza to eat, and help him eat his cake. :)

Kyle loves wearing the birthday hat. He wore it all the way to school. However, once he arrived at school he took it off and didn't want to wear it.

Of course the hat went right back on after he came home. :) Here he is with his new spiderman watch. There is a Spiderman blow up too, but the voltage is too strong  for the power strips here. We need to find a converter that is strong enough for all of the US products.

His cool new police car. He has said he really wants to be a police man when he grows up. He wouldn't have to use a siren though because he makes a really good siren sound all by himself.

 His presents.

After opening presents they changed into their matching Christmas pj's.

One of the boys was so excited about the pizza coming they had to take a picture of it. They might have thought it was Raylee and Baylor.

Eating yummy Pizza Hut pizza (yes, it tastes the same as it does in Las Vegas). Kyle was super excited because I let him have one of the 7 ups to drink.

Opening more presents after Raylee and Baylor came.

His lame, but yummy cake. I really miss Nothing Bundt Cake, Dairy Queen cakes and Walmart cakes. They are so much better looking than my pressure cooker made cakes.

Singing "Happy Birthday" and blowing out the candles.

Happy Birthday Kyle!! We love you and are so excited to see how you grow and what you surprise us with this year!
