Cam had his very first field trip....to the grocery store Park 'n' Shop. He was very excited even though he has been there hundreds of times. This trip to the store was more special because he was able to ride on a bus and go with his teacher and classmates. I volunteered to help on the field trip.
Here is our way to school. This first picture is of Cam and his very best friend here in Macau. Whenever they see each other they run and give a big hug and then start playing. So, so cute!
In this picture you can see the top of Cam's head. I was amazed at how well he was sitting while his teacher was telling them what they were going to do.
On the bus.
Each volunteer had two students to walk around with and find all of the items on their list. This little boy was adorable but I swear he had double the energy of Cam. It was the first time in my life I have actually had to chase a child up and down the aisles to get him to stay with me. However, Cam had a lot of fun with him being in our little group.
After they were done at the store and while we were waiting for the bus all of the students played at the park across the street. This helped them burn a tiny bit of their energy before they needed to get on the bus.
Overall it was a really fun first field trip! One day when I was talking to Cam's teacher she told me she really believes some of the children have never been to the store. Because the majority of people here have helpers kids never need to go. Either the helper or the parents do all of the shopping by themselves. The things we learn about different cultures!
Cam is really excited to see where his next field trip is at!
