Thanksgiving/Parent Teacher Conferences

We found out the missionaries were not going to have a turkey again for Thanksgiving. Eric had the day off so him, Cam and I delivered the food to them around noon.

We had a little detour before we picked up the food.

Giving Thomas a hug at the toy store.

Our most favorite sister missionary. We love her and will miss her when she leaves. While we were there we found out she was going back to Hong Kong for her last two weeks. The boys were so sad they didn't get to say goodbye.

Here is a picture of us with the missionaries. The two elders from our branch are missing though. They always give us a thank you card with a picture of all them. This is really one of our favorite family traditions here in Macau.

Because of parent teacher conferences we did not celebrate Thanksgiving on Thursday but on Friday. Parent teacher conferences went really well, Kade is at grade level. Since he skipped a grade I was really worried about how he was doing this year, but his teacher assured me he is doing really good. He is even reading at a 5th grade level. He is in 4th. Mr. Lovestone also said that he is kind to everyone even if he doesn't really like them. Kyle's pt conference always surprises me. I wish he was as good for me as he is his teacher. His teacher says he is one of the neatest students in her class, if not the neatest. We looked in his desk and everything was right in place. His handwriting is amazing! Someday we will find out why Kyle has been given these characteristics. Connor's teacher absolutely loves him. She says he is always being helpful. We are having issues with the speech teacher. We just really don't know why the school doesn't hire a professional speech teacher. Cam's teacher says he has a lot of energy. He is in the top three of most energetic students. He is very independent. One day she couldn't find him because he was in the hallway walking wherever he wanted to. He is still having a hard time speaking, but she says he is trying so hard to say what he is thinking. He is very smart, but for some reason his mind doesn't connect everything yet. Ever since school started though he has been able to say a lot more. Most of his mandarin is understandable too!

On Friday we had our Thanksgiving dinner. We ordered everything from the Grand Orbit. It was really good!

We had a good Thanksgiving weekend!
