Field Trip to the Helicopter Pad/The Qube

Connor had his second field trip this year. This time he was able to go to the helicopter pad and hanger. He loved being able to sit in the helicopter and watch 2 of them take off. I enjoyed going with too because I was able to see a different view of Macau. I love how the school lets the students go on at least one field trip each semester.

Since I volunteered I was able to make sure Connor and Frances were always following directions. Here they are on the bus. They are super excited to go see the helicopters.

Far end of Macau. The big plot of dirt is where they are starting to build a hospital. The helicopter hanger is in the process of figuring out where to be relocated since there will be flight zone restrictions.

As with most of Macau lots of dirt had to be shipped in. Where the hospital is going to be built was mostly water. This picture shows the Macau side of Macau.

Connor's cute class.

Connor the pilot.

Watching the helicopters take off. They are going to the Macau ferry terminal to pick up passengers. Almost every Sunday, when we pass the ferry terminal on our way to church, we see a helicopter on the roof.

Of course the tractor that helps push the helicopters was a big hit too.

Kyle was able to go to the Qube on Monday for his field trip. They usually don't need parent volunteers so he just went with all of the students in SK with their teachers and TA's. However, all of the boys were invited to a birthday party at the Qube the following Saturday for a birthday party (one of Kade's friends in his class). Kyle was able to go to there twice in one week. Lucky him!! Cam and I also went to the Venetian on Friday to see Eric. We found this enormous balloon like sheep for a Chinese New Year decoration. While I was trying to take a picture of him a few other people started taking a picture of him too.

I love his face in these next two pictures. He seems to be glaring at all the people taking pictures of him. I think he is starting to notice and doesn't like it.

This is Cam's favorite part of the Qube. There is air that lifts the balls into the air. He loves it.
