Swimming

More swimming....this is what we do on almost a daily basis.

Kade starting races. Even Cam wanted to race his big brothers.

Cam loves to jump in the pool and let Kade catch him. Kade will even let him ride on his back around the pool. Cam Cam absolutely loves it!

Here is Cam sticking his face in the water again, with his eyes open.

Kade doing it with him. It seriously looks like they are drowning.

Random picture of the beautiful lily pads we see at the park we through to get to the grocery store.

Garden

Here is what the garden by our place looks like now. Different, but still so beautiful!

Hong Kong (Day3)-Ocean Park

All of us were really excited to go to Ocean Park. Kade had went with all of the 3rd graders right before school ended. However, he wasn't able to ride the rides so he was excited to go on all of the attractions. It was forecasted to rain. Instead it was cloudy, but still hot and humid. We ended up taking a taxi there too because we knew we would probably get lost. One of the first things we noticed is how Asian Ocean Park is then Disneyland. While standing in line we noticed we were the only "foreigners". Everyone was staring at us! I really hope we are always on our best behavior so the people who see us don't think Americans are crazy.

The entrance.

These two otters were in the front. They looked like they were snuggling.

There are two sides of Ocean Park. We decided to take the cool submarine train to the other side first.

There are lots of carnival games to play.

Sea lions.

While Kyle, Cam and I were waiting for Eric, Kade and Connor to go on a ride we walked over to look at the penguins.

This is the first ride we went on.

The views of Hong Kong from Ocean Park. Incredibly beautiful!

This is the ride where Kade and I got soaked (Kyle and Connor were still too little). It was so funny because there was some Asian school age girls on the ride with us. Four of the five of them had ponchos and the one sitting closest to me had an umbrella. At first I was thinking that was really lame, but then as the ride progressed I was really grateful. She was kind enough to let me take cover under her umbrella.

Somehow we missed going to this part of the park. We really wanted to ride the tall one. We just didn't make sure we figured out how to get to this part. Next time! It sure is a fun and gorgeous view!

Eating lunch with a seal. We had good old corn dogs and French fries. :)

Really long escalator.

Waiting to see Daddy and Kade on the roller coaster ride.

He is such a monkey!

At the first of this ride there is a part where all we could see was the water and the edge of the mountain. It really looked like if anything happened we would fall into the water.

Riding the cable cars. It was kind of scary, especially when the boys kept asking us questions like "Hey, if these broke would we die?", "We wouldn't die if we landed right there.", "If this broke would we roll on the ground?" It was seriously to the point where Eric and I both had to ask them to be quiet because it was making us even more nervous and worried.

I have never so many yachts I have seen here.

The boys were intrigued with the pools. "Hey look at those pools!".

Model of what old Hong Kong probably looked like.

Cam giving the Panda a hug.

This was one of Cam's favorite rides.

This is a small ferris wheel. Cam's face was priceless when it started moving. He was super excited!

I don't know why they made me take off my hat. The ride wasn't fast enough for it to fly off. All of the boys had fun with this ride.

Waiting for the ride to start.

Their faces are adorable!

Pandas! We didn't get to see them because they were asleep. We did get some monkeys though.

Monkeys. I think the boys would fit in well there.

Where the pandas live. They were in the back sleeping.

This is the last thing we saw before we decided to leave. Before this we went to a big aquarium that had a kinds of different fishes, sharks and marine life. We wished we would have known to bring their swimsuits. For summertime they had a "wet" area that looked really fun. All of the kids were getting soaked. Next time we go I will have to check what type of special event they have going on. Overall, Ocean Park was a lot fun and we enjoyed our day there!

A huge cemetery on our way home.

Tuesday morning on our way to the ferry terminal. For some reason I really like this building.

We look forward to our next time in Hong Kong! We are thinking of going to Disneyland during Christmas as their Christmas present. We are tired of buying toys that break within a few weeks. The places we are able to visit will be lasting memories, unlike broken toys.
