Hong Kong-Day 1

For Spring Break we decided to take a little trip over to Hong Kong. This would officially be our first trip since we moved here. The boys were so excited especially we were finally going to Disneyland!! We left on a Monday morning. We were at the ferry terminal too early, but they allowed us to go on the ferry terminal that was leaving. We only had to wait 10 minutes.

Connor in the taxi on the way to the ferry terminal.

Ferry terminal where we waited for daddy, Kade and Kyle.

Waiting inside the terminal. The boys are really into holding the peace sign or some fingers up. In some pictures you will even see Cam trying to do it.

On our way to the ferry.

Leaving Macau.

Views as we started to approach Hong Kong.

A lighthouse.

After we were off of the ferry we headed to the MTR (subway). On our way there we noticed all of these ladies sitting on cardboards on both sides of the walkway. I later found out that the Filipino domestic helpers do that on holidays because most of them are "stay-in" helpers and this a way for them to not be at "work".

On the MTR headed to our hotel.

At this stop we were a little lost. However, we did take in all of the views.

Red taxis here, not yellow.

We finally arrived at our hotel. Here is a picture of the lobby. We had to wait an hour to get the keys to the room so we walked around a little bit.

Waiting for daddy to check us in.

Cam loves his new stroller.

The hotel was connected to a huge mall and also the MTR station.

While we waited we ate some yummy frozen yogurt.

View from our hotel room.

An all boys school was right below us.

While we were at the hotel room trying to decide what to do for dinner Eric started looking through a magazine on the counter. There was an ad in it for Outback. We were so excited to see that and it just happened to be at the place where were lost so we knew exactly where to go.

After we were done we decided to go explore a little bit. These are picture at Victoria Harbour and the Chinese "Walk of Fame".

Cam trying to see if his hand will fit.

A torch from the 2008 Beijing Olympic games.

Clock Tower

This used to be an old fort from 1882. It really is really nice now though with pricey stores to shop at.

Some of the greener areas surrounding the fort.

A weather machine.

Of course the boys were excited to see this huge gun.

Fun sunset in the harbor. The sun was amazing!

The lights starting to turn on.

This is where they sell fried squid. Most disgusting smell ever!!! We tried to avoid walking anymore of those.

We were going to stay for the light show, but everyone was starting to feel really tired so we started heading back to the hotel room. We knew we would have a hard time finding it again so opted to take a red taxi back to the hotel. We had a fabulous first day visiting Hong Kong!!
