AFL-Australian Football League

I was feeling really bad and missing the boys participating in sports. Soccer here is really expensive for just having practices and no games. My friend Jen told me how her son was starting to play AFL. She told me how much it cost and it was really a really good price. Due to some cicumstances, President Marcelo decided he would preside over the Saturday sacrament each Saturday this month. So I thought why don't we have the boys try it out too?!?!

Kade and Kyle loved it. Because of Eric and Kade always throwing the football around Kade was really good at throwing and catching the ball. They are also learning how to kick the ball. I don't think AFL is in the States, but this will definitely help them practice for American football if they ever decide to play that. For now I am just glad we have found some kind of sport they enjoy doing. Now we will be out at the "football" field every Saturday morning. Connor did participate in the first practice but decided he is not ready to play anything. Kyle, on the other hand, is out on the field running around, doing what the coaches ask and really learning the game. Much different experience then when he tried playing soccer.

Kyle is in an orange shirt/black pants, Kade is in black and blue shirt/black pants and Connor is in all balck. I don't know why there is so much black. In the photo above Cam is holding one of the football's watching the boys warm up.

Kade and Kyle are so excited when Saturday comes around. I am excited for them to have somewhere to run around now and a sport to learn. It will be exciting watching them learn the game.

Freezie the Penguin

In Kyle's class they have a class pet. It is a penguin named Freezie. Each weekend one of the kids have the opportunity to take Freezie home with them. Over the weekend they are to take pictures of what Freezie does with them. Kyle was so excited for this to happen. He kept asking or telling me when Freezie was coming over to our place. Here are the pictures of what Freezie and Kyle did.

Kyle is having Freezie meet Bob, Kade's penguin.

Saturday morning Freezie went to AFL to watch Kyle played. I am sure he enjoyed watching him.

Freezie really wanted to play too.

At dinner Freezie helped Kyle eat his salad. Yum! This was the first time we have had beef stew here in Macau. It turned out amazing and exactly how we remember it.

Sunday morning Freezie chilled out with Kyle on his bean bag while watching movies.

Later on Freezie went to church with Kyle. Don't they both look so nice dressed up in black and white?!?!

Kyle LOVED having Freezie over. He really wants him to come again, but I don't think he will have another turn because of time and letting the other students have him over.

It was so nice meeting you Freezie!!

Miscellenous Pictures

On our way up the big hill one day after school, one of the guys who occasionally drives us to church drove up in an extended limo. He rolled down his window and asked if we wanted to ride in it. Of course the boys did not hesitate. They were so ecstatic! Their friend Oliver was also able to ride with them. His poor mom though had a huge stroller so she had to walk up the hill.

We had our second personal progress meeting. The YW presidency is grateful for the turn out. Many of the sisters are really excited to be able to participate in the program. In this picture is Sister Gina, Sister Agnes, the sister missionaries, Sister Thelma (Sister Anna's niece), Sister Aurora, Sister Chit, Roxette, Sister Eva, Ashley, Sister Nedy, Courtney, Sister Josephine, Sister Jennifer, Sister Estela, Sister Madelon, Sister Prescilla (she is in the primary presidency), Sister Maria, Sister Christine, Sister Susana (she comes once a week to help me catch up on cleaning), Sister Raquel, and Sister Anna. I am so grateful I have the opportunity to meet with these sweet sisters and participate in the personal progress program with them.

The boys know they are not suppose to touch my phone. One day I found these pictures, plus several more, on my phone. I love it where Kyle is video recording himself, probably unknowingly, and then drops my phone. All on record. Silly boy! Please don't touch my phone or break it. :)

Tooth Fairy

The Tooth Fairy came to our place again. Her first time to Macau for us. This time it was for Kyle. After almost two weeks of messing around with his tooth it finally fell out. Luckily for Kyle the Tooth Fairy did not forget to come get his tooth and give him a present.

Super Heroes

One of Eric's co-workers invited us over to her place for dinner a couple weekends ago. They had some awesome dress up clothes. Cam and Connor really liked the super hero ones.
