Hong Kong Trip

In August we went on a trip to Hong Kong. The main purpose of this trip was to see the pediatrician. Thanks to the help of Cam and Connor's speech therapist we found a pediatric occupational therapist and physiotherapists. While we were in Hong Kong Cam needed to have an evaluation done with the OT. Each of the boys had a great check up. They received all of the required immunizations. The doctor said Kade and Kyle don't really need to see a doctor again for awhile. She helped me figure out how to help Connor with his dilemma. For Cam she gave us all the needed referrals so that we can hopefully get a refund for everything. I was really worried about visiting a pediatrician here, especially since the only one I had ever worked with was Dr. Bakerink. Overall the experience was great and my worries went away. Before our appointment we still had quit a fun time. UNfortunately Cam

On the ferry heading to Hong Kong.

Onto the MTR (subway).

Walking to our hotel.

Making sure no one gets lost.

Views from our hotel room of Victoria Harbour.

The swimming pool was on the roof. We had the most spectacular views of the city and harbor from the swimming pool. The boys also loved swimming that high up.

Strolling through the nearby streets. I believe we were trying to find a place to eat.

This picture actually has a funny story. As I was looking at everything I noticed the guy trying to talk to Connor. It seems he was about to lick the apple. When he tried telling me he wasn't doing anything I said, "Really? That is why I have a picture of you about to do something wrong." Silly boys! It was really nice to have a small fruit stand on almost every street.

A store front with Hello Kitty.

We found a small park that was pretty and quiet.

Kyle and Connor being silly with Hello Kitty.

We found this beautiful building. I can't remember if it was a church or a temple but the drawings/paintings were beautiful.

There was also another quiet and beautiful park by the temple.

More pictures of the gorgeous sunsets.

The last time we were here when we went to the Peak it was really cloudy and cold. We decided to try going up to the Peak again. This time it was so pretty and the skies were clear.

Connor being silly again but this time with Cam.

Views from the Peak.

On the tram that takes tourist up and down the Peak.

Eating at a yummy pizza diner.

Eating at a delicious hamburger restaurant.

Sunset on our second night in Hong Kong.

Our last morning.

After we came home Kyle made this cool Lego. He asked if he could have his picture taken with it.

We usually don't do this, but on Sunday morning we met our good friends, the Bowens, at McDonalds. They were leaving later that day to head back to Australia. We are really sad they are leaving. They have been really great friends to us the entire time we have been here. Here is a picture of Cam and will playing on the iPad.

Pictures taken outside the Ventetian on our way home.

We had a really great weekend, especially since it was the only weekend we actually did something this summer. The rest of the summer was spent swimming, playing on kindles, and being with each other (both good and bad). We really do look forward to school starting though!
