Grand Prix Museum/Macua's Fisherman's Wharf and MGM Grand

We really needed to get out of the house and do something fun, other than swimming, riding scooters and going grocery shopping. I knew the boys would love the Grand Prix Museum so I decided to take them there and the surrounding area. I had to figure out which bus to take and what stop to get off at. Then, luckily for Google maps, we were able to find our way to the museum. All of the boys were super excited to see the museum. Of course they LOVED all of the cars and memorabilia.

Small replica of the Macau island where the race takes place every November. The red lights are the route the racers take.

Kids of a certain height could race this fun car. Only Kade was tall enough to race it. He really enjoyed that while the other 3 looked on and cheered for him.

Cam helped Kade win 1st place. :)

Outside the museum. Trying to figure out where we are going. This is called Lotus Park because there is a Lotus statue in the middle. The gold building in the background is the Sands Hotel/Casino.

Fisherman's Wharf. It is not at all like San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf, especially the silence of no noisy sea lions, but it was still really fun to see. While we were walking around several people stopped and stared and took pictures. However, a couple of ladies tried to talk to me. Because I have had Mandarin lessons for the last month I could kind of tell what they were saying, especially when they said "4 boys" in Mandarin. Once I replied they thought I really knew Mandarin, but I had to try to tell them that was all they knew. One lady took a picture of all of us and even recorded all of us. She even tried to add me on as a contact on WeChat, a popular messaging app.

We stopped at a cute little café and bought some ice cream cones. The boys enjoyed looking at the water. I was worried they might fall in.

They were not suppose to touch or sit on the train. They tried really hard not to.

The coliseum. I think they have performances inside.

We see these types of Portuguese homes/museums all over Macau. They are gorgeous!

My finger is in this picture but I kept it because the boys thought it was hilarious they were suppose to be holding hands but the statues aren't even touching.

Macau has a Flamingo Casino, however, it is not nearly as nice as the Las Vegas one. Can you see Kyle in the picture by the oversized slot machine? He thought he would be able to pull the lever. Connor thought it looked fun so he started running over too.

An Egyptian style building.

I thought this hotel was really pretty.

Closer to the Sands. We thought we would be able to catch a bus over to the Venetian, but we couldn't find our way. We did end up going to McDonald's at the Sands. One of the few times we have been to McDonald's over the past year.

The lion at the MGM Grand.

Inside the MGM. They have several unique lion statues all over the hotel.

Middle of the MGM. I found out they change the display three or four times a year. We will definitely have to check out each one.

Walking to catch the ferry. The MGM is close to the Wynn so this is just another view of the Macau Tower. One little boy was really complaining about having to walk all the way to the shuttle. The day before, this little boy, was not listening to me when I asked him to stop playing with the keys to our rooms. I also asked him not to close and lock our doors. Minutes after I asked him not to do these things I went to grab something out of my room. The door was locked with the key inside. I was so frustrated and mad. I ended up having to have a locksmith come to open the door. It cost us 300 MOP for about a minutes worth of work. So, I explained to this little boy that if I had not had to spend money on a locksmith the day before we could have taken a taxi home. He continued to walk to the shuttle still a little grumpy.

On a clear day we can see the Hong Kong bridge. It really coming along.

Overall, it was a really lovely morning. I thought the boys would be exhausted and want to rest or take a nap, but they had even more energy when got back home.
